Labor day

On the last Sunday of September is celebrated in Kazakhstan Labor day, established by the decree of the President of the Republic in November 2013, in order to revive the traditions of respect for working professions and awareness of the importance of work from an early age.

 

It is no secret that the traditions of celebration May day went into the past with the collapse of the USSR, when the unity and merits of the working population were glorified. But over the years, the awareness began to return that for the revival of the economy, for the prosperity of the people, it is necessary to restore the respect for work lost among several generations of young people, to revive the traditions of labor culture, especially among the younger generation.

 

In Kazakhstan, one of the steps towards this revival was the establishment of labor Day. At the same time, the "veteran of labor" medal was also established, which is awarded to the leaders of production who have achieved high results in their work, employees with more than 40 years of experience, who have worked in the same industry for at least 10 years. This medal is awarded to employees from different industries.

 

The celebration of labor Day in Kazakhstan is held at many enterprises and in many labor collectives of the country. Festive concerts, rallies, sports competitions, awards are only part of how this holiday is celebrated in the Republic. There are also thematic competitions for the title of the best labor mentor, the best young employee, and others. The winner in each category is awarded with valuable prizes.

 

The main goal pursued by the state and trade unions, organizing festive and planned events dedicated to labor Day – is to increase the status and authority of working professions, revive the traditions of working dynasties in families, stimulate labor productivity, attract the attention of young people, and unite labor collectives.

 

In addition to state bodies and trade unions, the national chamber of entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan also participates in the organization of the holiday.

 

The celebration of labor Day is another good revived the tradition.
