What do you know about the profession of a firefighter? Is it really easy to work as a firefighter? Did you start your shift, did it all?
I think it's worth opening the curtain of the truth about what kind of firefighter to be. All of them are ordinary people who face risk on a daily basis in everyday work. You can tell a lot about people who are fighting with fire, mudflows and just various cataclysms of nature, but not for glory and encouragement - this is their duty and their work. We are looking for heroes in different films, and they are nearby, they go to work together, talk and just do such work, where they bear responsibility not only for themselves, but for their colleagues, comrades, friends and just even strangers. These are people with a good heart, adhering to the charter, honor and moral principles.
One of these people is a veteran, the former head of PCh-9 in the city of Kaskelen Utepov Aytugan Khamitovich, a major in civil protection, who has worked for seventeen years in civil protection agencies, from a firefighter to a fire chief. He began his career as a firefighter in FCh-1 in Kaskelen since 2003. In 2006 he entered the Kokshetau Technical Institute and graduated with a degree in Fire Safety and Military Science. For 17 years of service, Major of Civil Protection Utepov Aytugan Khamitovich served from the driver of the fire truck FCh-1 in Kaskelen to the head of FCh-9 in Kaskelen. He himself learned not only the theory to extinguish the fire, but also apply all the basics in practice.
He started with himself and taught young firefighters to face the fear and risk that they will face throughout their career.
The profession of a firefighter is one of the three most difficult and risky: despite special training, the risk of injury and death in this profession is extremely high. In January 2020, when a gas-air mixture exploded in a five-story building in the city of Kaskelen, he was one of the first to arrive, Aitugan Khamitovich was able to quickly evacuate residents, and also, while searching under the rubble, was able to pull a five-year-old child out of the rubble. In February 2020, Aytugan Khamitovich, being a senior operational group on two tank trucks of 10 people, left for the Zhambyl region, Kordai district, with. Sortuba, where reconstruction work was carried out after the riots.
And also, he took part not only in saving people, but also in extinguishing the steppe fires. He put out a steppe fire in 2018 in the Novosomalgan rural district, in the Kurkuduk valley, the total area of which was 380 hectares. In 2019, in the Ushkonyr Gorges, the total area is 200 hectares.
Once the life of Utepov Aytugan was in the balance. It happened in 2017 when extinguishing a mountain-steppe fire above the Dolan village, the fire threatened the dacha areas. A strong wind accompanied the rapid spread of the fire. Thanks to the well-coordinated work and correct actions to extinguish the fire, the firefighters were able to save the houses of the summer cottages and the outbuildings of the residents. However, the fire had not yet been extinguished. For complete elimination, it was required to climb the mountain and conduct exploration work. Aytugan Khamitovich, conducting reconnaissance, began to look for a safe place in strong smoke. “To get out of the fire, I started to put out the fire with a firecracker to make a path. At that moment, my whole life flashed before my eyes, ”recalls a pensioner of the civil protection authorities. Yes, of course, to face fear and risk and at the same time not to get confused is heroism.
Surely saving people and their land from various cataclysms is a very hard work, both physical and emotional. But all the same, it is the joy of the fact that there is a person saved by you on earth and the natural wealth of the homeland. As Aytugan Khamitovich likes to say: "To live to save nature and people's lives is our vocation."He saw many fires and other emergencies and was everywhere shoulder to shoulder with soldiers, was faithful to his profession and colleagues.
Firefighters risk their lives every day to save others. For them, there are no such concepts as “day off”, “holiday”, “day” and “night”. A person of this profession will come to the rescue at any time of the day. They are incredibly brave and intelligent people with quick reactions and attentiveness. And high endurance and combat training make it possible to avoid casualties among the population and minimize the consequences of emergencies.
We are grateful to those who faithfully serve their country and their profession - to save.
