Employees of the emergency department of the Karasai region remind about the need to comply with elementary fire safety rules when operating gas appliances and cylinders. Remember that gas leakage occurs either due to forgetfulness, or because of defects in gas pipelines, equipment and gas appliances, as well as in the event of a malfunction of gas cylinders. To prevent an explosion of a gas-air mixture in an apartment (house), the following rules must be followed:
-Exclude unauthorized (without the permission of the local organization of the gas industry) installation and installation of gas appliances;
- Gas wiring, household gas equipment and appliances must be registered and maintained, the operation of gas appliances is carried out after special instruction and in strict accordance with the requirements of the operating instructions;
-Do not leave lighted gas appliances unattended, use them for heating, and even more so for heating rooms (except for special ones);
- Do not use a burning match or candle to establish a leak or read the gas meter.
- Adjust the flame strictly according to the instructions. Do not blow out the burner flame - this can extinguish the flame, and gas will flow, which will inevitably create an explosive concentration of gas in the room in a mixture with air;
- Rooms where gas equipment is installed must be thoroughly ventilated: if the room is well ventilated, then an intensive exit of contaminated (gassed) air from it is ensured and the supply of fresh air excludes the formation of an explosive mixture.
Careful and careful use of gas appliances is a necessary precaution to prevent fires.
