The main area of work is the implementation of state regulation in the field of religious activity and interaction with religious associations.
Main goals:
1) analysis and monitoring of the religious situation and outreach in the field of religion;
2) strengthening interfaith harmony and interaction of the state with religious associations, monitoring the implementation of the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of religion;
3) a study of the problems of religion in the territory of the Karasai region.
There are 65 religious associations in our region, 44 of them are mosques, 14 are provost churches, and 7 are Protestant churches. Also, there is ongoing information and clarification work among the population on measures to prevent them from falling into destructive religious movements. Since the beginning of the year, 45 events have been held in accordance with the ATT plan. During the events, well-known theologians and theologians come to our country and give lectures. In order to protect our district from religious radicalism and extremism, in cooperation with the district administration, the Department of Religious Affairs of the Almaty region and the district imams are providing selfless service.
