The main tasks are to conduct state policy in the field of architecture and urban planning, prepare proposals for the development of methods of state regulation of architectural and urban development activities in the region, prepare proposals for the development and improvement of state regulations on architecture and urban development in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, the development of regional programs on priority areas of development and sustainable development of inter-settlement territories and settlements, taking into account the preservation of valuable architectural and urban heritage, the development of national and cultural traditions in architecture and urban planning.
