Conducts state policy among general education schools, plans and analyzes their development, provides continuous general education at all levels, implements the state program, monitors the implementation of the state standard, also works on the updated content of education, monitors the work of secondary schools during quarantine measures, organizes and conducts seminars, webinars for teachers, works on the introduction of advanced pedagogical experience and innovative technologies in the educational process, works on digitalization and informatization of the secondary education system.

Activity:

1. determines the state of secondary education in the region;

2. participates in the development of guidelines and regulatory documents for the development of secondary education, management decisions, draft decisions of the board, action plans, collects and analyzes data, implements documents prepared by monitoring their implementation, provides specific assistance to educational organizations by visiting the field;

3. reviews the curriculum of regional educational organizations and submits it for approval by the head of the department;

4. monitors the compliance of the content of education with the requirements of state standards, seeks to modernize the new technological process of education;

5. forms a system for evaluating the activities of general education schools, provides practical assistance in the certification of educational organizations;

6. conducts regional workshops among teachers of educational organizations, as well as competitions, creative exhibitions, literary readings among students;

7. Together with JSC "Orleu", the Center of Pedagogical Excellence, the Nazarbayev Intellectual School analyzes advanced pedagogical experiences, discusses and distributes;

8. provide methodological assistance in retraining and advanced training of teachers of secondary schools;

9. coordinates the work on admission to school and departure, the participation of school graduates in the UNT, monitors the employment of graduates, the contingent of students;

10. supervises the management of general and special subjects in educational institutions;

11. monitors the implementation of curricula and programs in secondary education organizations, if necessary, monitors and analyzes the quality of students ' knowledge;

12. carries out planned work to improve the quality of students ' knowledge;

13. conducts planned work to eliminate gaps in students ' knowledge during quarantine measures.
