Erbolat Dossaev met with MEPs

The parties noted that cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union is developing in high rates.

The European Union is one of the global trade and economic partners of our country and one of main sources of investors. Trade turnover for 2021 amounted to 28.9 billion USD, which is 17.9% higher than compared to 2020. There are 713 joint ventures and 1,699 (out of 3,747 in Kazakhstan) companies with the participation of EU capital registered in Almaty.

Akim informed delegation of the European Parliament about the progress at work to restore the economy and our further plans for the city socio-economic development.

In addition, the meeting mentioned activating the interaction of government with civil society and NGOs that commit more than 4 thousand people within the city and 19 thousand in state in general.

In conclusion parties expressed their willingness to keep cooperating on priority spheres of economy and human rights protection.
