2400 seedlings will be distributed to residents of Almaty within "Green Yard" campaign

The city residents who applied for the seedlings under the "Green Yard" campaign will receive 2,400 seedlings of hardwood trees.

The Green Economy Department received 191 applications from individuals and legal entities in total for 2022. This is 50% more than 2021.

“Green Yard” campaign is held annually in spring and autumn by the Green Economy Department.

The goal of program is to involve the population in the gardening of courtyards and public lands, as well as the creating of an ecological culture. Participants of this activity will receive ash, maple, elm, poplar, acacia, catalpa and birch free of charge.

After receiving the seedlings, the residents take up obligations to care for the tree and sign the necessary documents.

Landing is scheduled for the next few days. After that, the participants must send a photo report to the program management.
