"Seeing patients between life and death is not еasy. And when you see that they are suffering and they do not have enough air, you do not think about yourself, but you just try," said Timur Narymov, a young volunteer who works in a pharmacy in a dormitory of the West Kazakhstan State Ospanov Medical University. Now he works without tiring in the hospital, helping doctors on the night shifts, replacing the oxygen cylinders of patients.
Timur is a student of the faculty of professional creativity of the Aktobe State University named after K. Zhubanov. He also works as a coach at a young tourist station in the city. Future profession - coach, sports specialist. Previously, he was one of the most active young people at the university, participated in various social events, and during quarantine he decided to become a volunteer to help those in need.
- I am one of the most active students at the university. However, as a volunteer, I have never participated in any activities before. During an emergency this year, a close friend asked me to take food with me to my car. There I saw the plight of low-income families and decided to become a volunteer. Thus, we gathered my close friends from the university, organized a charity event for a number of low-income families and brought food and home care items. In addition, the youth, headed by the head of the department of the city employment center of Aktobe, Amangul Kuanysh, continues to contribute to helping those in need.
And now we have volunteers Almaz, Nurlybek, Almazbek in the dormitory of the Medical University, who change oxygen cylinders at night and help patients. Here, each patient needs one oxygen cylinder a day, says Timur.
He told, today hospitals need help and support from men. This is due to the fact that doctors do not have enough strength to replace the oxygen cylinder for each patient. Unfortunately, in today's situation, not many young people turn to medical institutions for help.
-Many people ask me: " How are you?» Aren't you afraid? You will be in direct contact with the patients. How do you defend yourself? "My only answer to them is:' God will protect us. If you must die, you will die at home! "Therefore, we will not be able to defeat this epidemic if we do not support and help each other in such a difficult period. We are a small nation, we must save our older generation, who will be advisers and mentors to the next generation! As for protection, we change protective clothing every two hours, " he said.
These words of a cheerful and energetic young man will be support for a long time. For now, however, it is best to stay at home and not go to public places. And if the number of such active young people as Timur grows and will help the sick in the future, there will be even more.
Recently Timur was awarded a Letter of Gratitude from the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev for his contribution to the republican campaign "Biz Birgemiz".
