The main areas of activity of the Department of Passenger Transport and Highways are highways and transport communications of the region.
Accordingly, the target indicators of budgetary management programs are the provision of the population with roads, air, rail, and automobile communications.

HIGHWAY

The length of public highways in Aktobe region is 6,856.6 km, including: 1,894 km of republican, 1,262.8 km of regional and 3,699.8 km of district significance.
Today the share of highways in good and satisfactory condition of republican significance is 56.5% or 1061 km, of local significance - 56.5% or 2 829.3 km.

In 2020, it is planned to implement 196 projects for the repair of highways for 40.4 billion tenge, incl. under the Regional Development Program 25 projects for the amount of 3.2 billion tenge, under the program "Employment Roadmap - 2020" 129 projects for the amount of 20.6 billion tenge, under the special program "Auyl - el besigi" 16 projects for the amount of 24, 2 billion tenge and under the program "Nurly Zhol" 26 projects worth 14.8 billion tenge. Within the framework of the Employment Roadmap 2020 program, 97 streets or 147 km of highways in the city of Aktobe are being repaired. The Aktobe regional branch of the National Center for the Quality of Road Assets RSE checked the quality of the roads under construction and took it under strict control.

To date, 21.9 billion tenge or 54.2% has been spent.
The implementation of these projects will increase the share of roads in good and satisfactory condition to 59%.
This year, it is planned to complete the repair of 7 highways.
In addition, design estimates are being developed for “Construction of the western bypass road in Aktobe” and “Reconstruction of the highway from the bridge over the Ilek river in Kirpichnoe village to the highway“ Aktobe-Orsk ”.
