As of January 1 of this year, the number of registered business entities was 3341 units (legal entity-136, individual entrepreneurs-2261, peasant farms-945), the number of existing ones was 3196 units (legal entity-115, individual entrepreneurs-2151, peasant farms - 930), respectively, compared to the same period last year-100.3; 99.7%.
At the end of the year, the number of employees in the sphere of small and medium-sized businesses is 4432 units (111.7%).
The volume of manufactured products, services rendered amounted to 16512.0 million.tenge, which is 126.8% compared to the previous year.
The retail volume is 7632.0 million.tenge (100.3%).
The volume of wholesale trade amounted to 2339.9 million.tenge (145.3%)
Fixed capital amounted to млн 44636.5 million.tenge of investments attracted, physical volume index 52.1 %
The volume of industrial production is 24535.4 million tons.tenge, physical volume index 105.3%.
Within the framework of the program "national project for the development of entrepreneurship for 2021-2025", approved by the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 12, 2021 No. 728, 914.3 million of 50 projects planned for 2023 are planned.19 tenge projects implemented:

In accordance with the order of the Akim of the District No. 314 dated July 22, 2016 "on the creation of working groups on price stabilization in the consumer market", members of the staff of the 5th permanent group Visit large retail outlets, food and vegetable stores in the district center every Wednesday, monitoring prices for socially important food products is carried out, daily information is provided to the Regional Department of entrepreneurship. Currently, prices for 19 socially important food products are constantly monitored in the district.
By the resolution of the akimat of shalkar District No. 02 dated January 9, 2024 "on determining and approving places for placement of non-stationary trade facilities in the territory of Shalkar district", the 13th place was determined for the implementation of on-site trade.
In terms of tourism, there are 3 hotels in Shalkar (Sunkar, Olzha, Beknur) and 1 in Bozoy rural district (Murager); 20 restaurants (10 in the city, 10 in rural districts); 23 cafes (19 in the City, 4 in districts). All these restaurants and cafes are equipped with comfortable lighting, create the necessary microclimate, in particular, provide a high level of comfort through ventilation and cooling of the air, interior, etc. It has been renovated to meet modern requirements.
In addition, the owner of the farm" Yntymak", individual entrepreneur T. Kudaibergenov opened a 3-room (20-bed) guest house on M. Shymkent Street in Shalkar and is ready to receive visitors all year round.
At the entrances to the city of shalkar, in particular, along the Irgiz - Shalkar, Aktobe-Shalkar highways, tourist maps were created and installed for tourists visiting the district to get acquainted with the tourist facilities of our district.
In 2023, 9 Business facilities were launched in the District: 2 shops selling confectionery products in Shalkar, 1 bakery, 1 beauty salon; 1 restaurant in aishuak District; 1 barbershop in ESET Kotibaruly District; 1 bakery in Bershugir District; 1 confectionery shop in Kaulzhir District; 1 confectionery shop in Shetyrguz district.
