In Kobda district, 3 sports leagues (volleyball, mini-football, basketball), a regional sports contest among young people, veterans and civil servants are held for the development of mass sports. District Championships in 11 sports are held on a regular basis.
- This year, sports grounds were built in the villages of Kyzylzhar, Beskuduk, Zharsay, and by the end of the year they will be built in the villages of otek and Bestau. In addition, sports grounds are being built in the villages of Akirap, Begaly, Tersakkan, taldysay at the expense of sponsors. In 2021, sports fields will be built in the villages of Aliya and I. Biltaban according to the employment roadmap and in the villages of Sarbulak and Zhanatalap at the expense of the local budget. Thus, in 2021, all localities of the district will be fully provided with modern sports grounds.
- For the district in the 2018-2019 academic year, 136 sections covered 1,780 students, in the 2019-2020 academic year, 168 sections covered 1,850 students.
- In 10 sports, 463 students are covered by 37 sections.
- Constantly engaged in mass sports is 33%. There are 78 sports facilities in the district:
1 sports and recreation complex, 1 youth sports school, 26 gyms,
2 stadiums (300 seats in Kobda, 600 seats in Egindibula),10 modern and 25 simple sports grounds,1 multifunctional hockey court,18 hockey courts, 4 street workout.
