Today, 6,370 children with special educational needs are being brought up in the Aktobe region.
Correctional assistance to special children in the region is provided by 3 psychological, medical and pedagogical consultations (registered 6,370 children), 1 rehabilitation center (120 children), 14 rooms of psychological and pedagogical correction (1,061 children) and 1 children's health camp.
Special children study in 3 special kindergartens (515 children), 4 special schools (546 children), 116 kindergartens (1238 children), 282 schools (2225 children) and 3 colleges (120 children). Thus, 3583 children (56.2%) are covered by inclusive education.
In 2020, 2 offices of psychological and pedagogical correction were opened in the region. These rooms additionally cover 195 children.
Preschool education and upbringing in kindergartens covered 1238 special children. Work is underway to open 6 special groups covering about 90 special children.
Within the framework of the project implemented jointly with Nazarbayev University, 200 regional teachers were trained in special courses.
Specially trained specialists work in 177 kindergartens and “barrier-free access” has been created.
2,225 special children are enrolled in general education schools.
The solution to the problem of the development of inclusive education is the opening of resource rooms to support inclusive education in secondary schools.
In 2018-2019, 6 offices for supporting inclusive education were opened in Aktobe. Currently, offices are opening in all districts.
Specially trained specialists work in 303 schools. 3442 copies of teaching aids for children with special educational needs were purchased this year.
