The state program "Cultural Heritage" was developed at the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev in 2004 with the aim of restoring, updating historical, cultural and architectural monuments.
In our region, the program "Cultural Heritage" includes the following monuments: Memorial complex "Eset Batyr", mausoleum "Kerderi Abubakir" in the city of Alga there is a bust "Abubakir Kerderi", 15 km from the village of Marzhanbulak there is a mosque of the XIX century named. "Shaken ishana", in Alga there are monuments to Abai Kunanbayev and the wars of his fellow countrymen who died in Afghanistan, which are located in the park of culture. The mausoleum of Eset Batyr is registered as a historical monument, has a tourist destination, and 2017, within the framework of the Rukhani Zhagyru program, has been included in the map “Kazakhstanny Kieli Orndary”.
Today, one of the main tasks is the implementation of the language policy on a regional scale, the fulfillment of the tasks set in the President's Address in full. One of the main directions in the work of the regional department of culture and language development is the issue of the state language.
Within the framework of the state program for 2011-2015 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the languages of the Republic of Kazakhstan", various events are held. In the Alga region, quarterly monitoring of document circulation is organized. To date, this figure has reached 99.9 percent.
Onomastics is an indivisible part of language policy. In the Alga region, the problem of returning historical names to geographical objects and settlements has been completely resolved.
As a result of the work carried out, today the names of 13 settlements have been fully translated into the Kazakh language.
In 2017, on February 28, the President received an assignment No. 17-388-5 "on renaming ideologically outdated and repeating street names in the area to historical and geographical names and names closer to national customs, as well as on all kinds of ban on people's names."
