The social and political situation in the Alga region is stable. Political parties, public, non-governmental and religious organizations conduct their activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They take part in all social and political events held by government agencies.

The religious situation in the area is stable. In the Central Mosque of the city of Alga, between 40 and 50 people perform five seasonal prayers every day, and about 250 people gather in Friday prayer. Due to the quarantine regime announced in March 2020, the entrance to the mosque is limited.

In order to effectively implement the state information policy in order to provide information support for social and political events held in the Republic, the region, the district newspaper "Zhuldyz-Zvezda" and the regional newspaper "Akparat Aydyny" were working on the state order for the current year. The situation is constantly monitored by the district akimat and the competent authorities.
