The region is successfully completing the implementation of the State Program "Densaulyk", which has significantly improved the quality and availability of medical care for residents.
Over the past 3 years, more than 30 medical institutions with a total cost of more than 11 billion tenge have been built in the region, including an ambulance station, an ophthalmological clinic "Daru zharygy", 22 healthcare facilities in rural areas (12 medical outpatient clinics, 4 medical and obstetric stations , 6 medical points).
The equipment of medical institutions with innovative medical equipment of a new generation is improving from year to year.
There is a regional medical cluster - the largest multidisciplinary hospital in the western region - “Aktobemedicalcenter” with 600 beds.
All this led to an improvement in the main demographic indicators of the region: over the past 3 years, the life expectancy of the population has increased from 72 to 73.4 years, the birth rate - by 4.9%, the overall mortality rate has decreased by 5.7%.
In 2020, it is planned to open a new Center for Motherhood and Childhood by combining the regional perinatal center and the regional children's hospital, where prenatal observation will be organized - a women's consultation with a medical genetic laboratory and an IVF center, a maternity and neonatal unit for nursing newborns, a postnatal department observation of women and children.
The association will allow the immediate transfer of children with congenital malformations in need of surgical treatment to neonatal or cardiac surgery.
In addition, in order to reduce the shortage of personnel and the availability of the quality of medical care in the countryside, this year funds were allocated from the local budget to 50 doctors, 1.5 million tenge each, for the purchase of housing.
Despite all this, it should be noted that the residents of the region have comments on the work of ambulance services in terms of prompt response to calls.
This issue is under the control of the regional leadership, and all necessary measures to improve the quality of medical services will be taken.
