2,952 people work in the field of small and medium-sized businesses, which is 19.4% of the working-age population of the district. SMEs produced products and provided services in the amount of 8.3 billion tenge (Q3 2022).

Zhalyn LLP was founded in 1997 and is engaged in the installation of water supply, heating and air conditioning systems.

In 2020-2022, according to the Business Roadmap 2025 program, 180 projects totaling 1,152.4 million tenge received state support, 163 projects worth 701.8 million tenge received state support under the Enbek program, 1 project worth 10.0 million tenge under the Economics of Simple Things project.

In 2023, 77 projects totaling 190.655 million tenge were implemented under this program. Among them are 20 projects for the development of poultry farming, 8 projects for the development of crop production, 20 projects for the development of livestock, 27 projects for the development of SMEs and 2 projects for the equipment of cooperatives.
