Digital Literacy at PSC: Free Training for Citizens Launched in Astana
The Public Service Center (PSC) in Astana is becoming not only a place for receiving public services, but also a platform for developing digital literacy. The State Corporation “Government for Citizens” has launched free offline training sessions in Astana aimed at improving citizens’ skills in obtaining public services online and confidently using digital services.
The training is organized by the corporate training center “Tanym” of the State Corporation with the participation of JSC “National Information Technologies” and is conducted in a practical format. Specialists provide step-by-step guidance on how to use the eGov.kz portal, the Unified Platform of Government Internet Resources, and the mobile applications “PSC” and “eGov Mobile,” as well as how to access popular public services online in everyday life. The topics of the sessions are formed based on the most frequently asked questions from citizens.
The program is implemented within the framework of digitalization initiatives outlined in the President’s Address to the Nation. At the same time, the training supports the introduction of the new “Digital Public Office” concept — a modern service model based on the “Apple Store” principle, focused on digital services and consultative support. This format helps citizens receive services more quickly and learn to process them online independently.
It should be noted that the training is being implemented in a pilot format: during the first quarter, sessions are held in the capital, with expansion to the regions of the country planned for the second quarter.
The training is provided free of charge on a regular basis in Astana — every Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Nura district office, located at 4 Kerey and Zhanibek Khans Street. Admission is free.
