In sports, the following activities are carried out: creation of conditions for sports activities of physical persons at the place of residence and in places of their mass recreation, holding and organization of mass sports and physical culture and recreation events by sports, ensuring the preparation of district national teams by sports and their participation in regional, republican and international sports competitions, ensuring the development of mass sports and national sports on the territory of the district, coordinating the activities of physical culture and sports organizations on the territory of the district, organizing work on assigning athletes to sports categories: athlete 2, athlete 3, athlete 1 youth category , athlete of the 2nd junior level, athlete of the 3rd junior level, organization of work on assignment of qualification categories: coach of the highest level of qualification of the second category, trainer of the middle level of qualification of the second category, methodist of the highest level of qualification of the second category, methodist of the middle level of qualification of the second category, instructor-athlete of the highest level of qualification of the second category, sports judge, formation of a single calendar of sports and mass events, conducting work on collecting and analyzing information on the development of physical culture and sports, formation of regional lists of national teams by sports, organization of medical support for official physical culture and sports events, assistance in accessibility to the population of sports facilities on the territory of the district, provision of methodological and advisory assistance to sports organizations, promotion of achievements in the field of physical culture and sports and principles of a healthy lifestyle, coordination of the work of sports clubs and sections, implementation of other functions in the interests of local government.
