In sports, the following activities are carried out: the organization of regional sports competitions in sports in conjunction with local accredited sports federations, the provision of training for the district national teams in sports and their performance at regional sports competitions, ensuring the development of mass sports and national sports in the territory of the district, coordination of the activities of regional physical education and sports organizations in the region; conducting propaganda of physical culture and sports, increasing the level of knowledge of the population in the practical use of the components of physical culture to preserve and strengthen health, prevent diseases, achieve a high level of performance and longevity, as well as humanistic ideals and values of sports, provide people with disabilities with access to sports facilities for physical education and sports.
