In the field of  held  social protection the following: to participate in the implementation of public policies to reduce unemployment and poverty reduction rehabilitation of the disabled and veterans; the implementation of measures for targeted social protection of the population, attraction of extrabudgetary funding to protect and support the poor, the disabled, large families according to the developed regional programs that develop and approve the procedure for organizing and financing public works, social workplaces, youth practice, training; develop and approve the procedure for employment quotas for persons with disabilities; development and approval of the procedure of quotation of work places for employment of citizens from among the youth lost or till the attainment of majority without parental care who are graduates of educational institutions, persons released from places of imprisonment, persons consisting on the account of the probation officer; the development and approval of the procedure of organization and financing of measures to promote entrepreneurial initiative; the organization and methodological support of work on appointment and payment of state addressed social help and housing assistance; assignment of social assistance for the purchase of fuel specialists of the social sphere living in rural areas;organization of social assistance to persons from families having per capita income below the subsistence minimum in Mangystau region for household needs; assistance in establishing a comprehensive network of social protection of persons in need of support at the state and charity in the development of the complex of specialized institutions and services that provide psychological, medical and social services to persons who are in difficult life situations; organization of material support for disabled children raised and educated at home; identify the needs and placement of orders for supply of special mobile equipment, devices of industrial and domestic nature, other technical means of rehabilitation of invalids.
