INFORMATIONAL MESSAGE
Mass media, users of online platforms on the provision of airtime and print space to candidates for deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Mass media, users of online platforms must publish, as well as provide information on the amount of payment, conditions and procedure for providing air and print space (paragraph 3 of Article 28 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan") no later than February 14, 2023 for the publication of candidates' campaign materials:
- to the deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament on party lists to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- to the deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament in single-mandate territorial electoral districts to the territorial election commissions of the regions, the cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent;
- for deputies of maslikhats in the territorial election commissions of the regions, the cities of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent.
At the same time, in accordance with part 5 of Article 112 of the Administrative Code, the publication or broadcast of campaign materials of candidates, political parties participating in elections, by the mass media, which, no later than five days before the start of the election campaign, did not announce and publish, and also did not submit to the election commission information on the amount of payment, conditions and procedure for the provision of air and printed space, – entails a fine for officials in the amount of thirty, for legal entities – in the amount of fifty monthly calculation indices.
