Indicators of socio –economic development of Semey city in January - May 2024.

The volume of industrial production in January – May 2024 amounted to 192 billion 384.4 million tenge. The growth rate is 88.4% or 25.3 billion tenge less than the same period in 2023.

The volume of the manufacturing industry amounted to 119.6 billion tenge. The growth rate is 62.9% or 70.6 billion tenge less than the same period in 2023.

The volume of the mining industry has developed at the level of 17.2 billion tenge, which is 4.1 billion tenge more than the level of 2023. The growth rate is 131.1% (January - May 2023 – 13.1 billion tenge).

The volume of gross agricultural output amounted to 13.3 billion tenge, the growth rate was 109.9%, and the IFO was 102.5%.

Investments in fixed assets amounted to 34.9 billion tenge, the growth rate was 83.3% (January – May 2023 – 41.9 billion tenge).

The volume of construction work amounted to 15.3 billion tenge, which is 5.8 billion tenge more than the same period in 2023 (January – May 2023 – 9.4 million tenge). In January – May, 75,615 sq. m. of housing were commissioned. The growth rate is 105.7%, or 4 084.0 sq. m. more than the same period in 2023 (January – May 2023 – 71 531.0 sq. m.).

The volume of retail trade turnover amounted to 138.7 billion tenge, which is 10.4 billion tenge more than the same period in 2023. The growth rate is 108.1%, the IFO is 89.1% (January – May 2023 – 128.4 billion tenge).

The volume of wholesale trade turnover was at the level of 82.6 billion tenge. The growth rate is 110.0%. The IFO is 93.1% (January – May 2023 – 75.1 billion tenge). The number of operating small and medium-sized businesses will amount to 30.4 thousand units. The growth rate is 101.1% or more by 323 units (January – May 2023 – 30.1 thousand units).

Revenues to the local budget amounted to 30.2 billion tenge, which is 1.2 times or 5.9 billion tenge more than the same period in 2023.
