To implement the state policy in the sphere of culture City House of Culture, City Library and House of Friendship are functioning in the city.
The amount of 85.597 thousand KZT was allocated for the development of the sphere of culture in 2019, including: 59.508 thousand KZT to the City House of Culture, 11.676 thousand KZT to the City Library, 14.413 thousand KZT to the House of Friendship.
To strengthen the material and technical base in the activities of culture, including the purchase of a bus and replenishment of the library Fund 14.286.3 thousand KZT was allocated.
The activities of cultural institutions are conducted in accordance with the approved long-term work plan, which takes into account holidays and anniversaries of state and city significance.
During the reporting period, 240 events were held, covering more than 45,000 people.
Information and library services to the city’s population are provided by City library.
The total library stock is 34.870 thousand copies, of which the book stock is 31.620.
21,273 books were added to the “Irbis” software, which is 67.2 %. Works on translating books into digital format are under way.
The library uses a wide variety of forms and methods of work to attract readers, including non-stationary services for pensioners and disabled people at home.
The work is carried out both with the adult population and with young people and students of the city schools.
Subscription publications in a large assortment are issued annually - newspapers and magazines in Kazakh and Russian languages to attract readers to the City library
During the year, all public holidays, significant and memorable dates of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international events were reflected in exhibitions, literary reviews, educational, competitive and entertainment, literary and other mass events.
The concert organization of the city is provided by the City House of Culture.
The number of creative teams in 2019 is 10, including 3 children and 7 adults. The number of participants involved in them is about 100 people.
In the City House of Culture there is 1 dance group “Akkogershin”, which has the title “Exemplary”.
In the creative teams of the City house of culture there are clubs of various genres: choral, choreographic, pop and vocal.
The city of Kurchatov is visited by regional theaters with new productions.
In April of this year, the State Drama Theater named after F. M. Dostoevsky in Semey presented to city population the Comedy of Claude Magnier “Blaise” and a fairy tale for children “Once upon a time there was Syroezhka”, in October the drama of Alexander Volodin “Lizard” and a children's production “Tthe Kid and Carlson”.
In January of this year, a creative concert of the performer of traditional Kazakh folk music Adil Turganbayev and the creative team of the state enterprise “Ertis Concert”, “An. Sal. Dar” which featured classical works, folk songs and modern pop music.
In May of this year, the jazz orchestra of the Pavlodar regional Philharmonic named after Isa Bayzakov presented the concert “Philosophy of jazz”, giving the audience unforgettable emotions by performing live jazz.
On June 30, 2019, activists of ethno-cultural associations of the house of friendship took part in “Sabantuy-2019” in the village of Bashkul, Beskaragay district.
Within the program of “Ruhani zhangiru” on August 14, under the project “100 new faces Kazakhstan-2017” with the theme “Strong people, strong country” was held a meeting with the winner of the project with Valentin Igorevich Alifanov.
Amateur artists of the House of Culture take part in international, national, and regional festivals and competitions.
In order to promote international dance art in the Republic of Kazakhstan, identify gifted and talented children, the III international competition-festival of choreographic art “MegaDance” was held in Almaty on February 10, 2019, in which the dance group “Fantasia” performed from the city of Kurchatov, under the leadership of Zinaida Matvienko, and took 1st place in the performance of the dance “Waltz” and the Grand Prix for “Russian dance”.
On February 8-10, 2019, Almaty hosted the national competition for children and youth creativity “Syrym bar zhuregimde”, organized by the “Nurly Zhastar” art Center, dedicated to the year of youth.
The competition was attended by a student of the 10th grade of secondary school No.1 Muratova Madizhana Asetovna, a member of the circle of expressive reading “Zhastolkyn” of the City library and took 1st place.
The House Of Friendship annually takes an active part in the regional festival of languages of the people of Kazakhstan. This year, at this event, the dance group “Fantasia” presented the Tatar folk dance “Sabantuy”.
On September 13, this year, as part of the implementation of “Ruhani zhangiru” program, the international competition-festival of traditional Kazakh masters of decorative and applied arts “Asylmura” was held in Semey. Activists of the “Rusana” ethnic and cultural Association-the vocal group “Nadezhda” took part in the opening of the festival's concert program.
On September 20, 2019, within the program of “Ruhani zhangiru”, artists of the City House of Culture of Kurchatov city took part in the IV – Regional music festival of Turkic peoples “Uly Dala Sazy”, which was held in the Glubokovsky district. At the end of the festival the Duo of Toktar Zhumash and Meirambek Oken took the third place.
On October 1-2, this year in Shemonaihinsky area passed regional competition “Asyl azhe”, organized by East Kazakhstan regional branch of Republican public Association “Organization of veterans”. In this competition the participant with the vocal group “Asyl azheler” Mahmut Samar won the nomination “Bishi azhe”.
On November 2, the City House of Culture hosted a concert of the chamber orchestra of the MSPE “Ertis concert” of the Department of Culture, archives and documentation of the East Kazakhstan region.
On November 3, 2019, Semey hosted the Republican festival of choreographic art “DANCING OF KAZAKHSTAN”, in which the younger group of ensemble “Ak kogershin” took part and became the winner, receiving a diploma and a Cup of laureates of the first degree.
The house of friendship has a Kazakh center “Atamura” and 2 ethno - cultural associations: Russian – “Rusana” and Ukrainian – “Svitoch”.
The house of friendship has a Council of public consent, a Council of Mothers, a Club of Patrons, Mediation and the Youth League.
There are 2 historical and cultural monuments on the territory of Kurchatov city: a monument to the academician, nuclear physicist I. V. Kurchatov, a monument to the liberator and a bust of the great Abai Kunanbayev, located in the square on Abai street.
1 security obligation was concluded for the monument of architecture and urban planning (monument to academician, nuclear physicist I. V. Kurchatov).
Organizations and institutions of the city are assigned patronage over historical monuments.
We successfully completed the tasks set in previous 2019. Today we are facing challenges that we intend to solve in the future, these are:
- Purposeful work on further modernization of public consciousness “Rukhani zhangyru” and the Concept of Cultural Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Systematic and consistent work on the plan of city events dedicated to important dates in 2020.
- Improve the work to increase and improve the implementation of cultural and leisure programs for all segments of the population.
- The city House of Culture to increase paid services to the population, organizations and businesses.
