In February 2019, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Public Councils", a Public Council was established in the city of Kurchatov.
The main objectives of the Public Council are to ensure constructive interaction between the local self-government bodies of the city and the public, to involve the public in the process of making and implementing management decisions related to the socio-economic, socio-political and cultural life of our city.
According to the schedule of reports of the heads of executive bodies to the population and Public Councils, a reporting meeting of the mayor of the city and the head of the Department of Economy and Finance on budget execution is held annually.
In his report, the mayor of the city informs about the results of last year and plans for the near future.
At the end of the meeting, the members of the public council express their opinions and suggestions regarding the future plans for the development of the city, and receive answers to their questions.
