There are 4 secondary schools, 2 state kindergartens and 1 private kindergarten, 2 mini-centers, a children music school, a sports club, a Children and Youth Sports School and a House for Children and Youth Creativity.
The secondary school No.2 in Kurchatov city was renovated to adapt the entrance group in the amount of 5.0 million KZT in order to create conditions for full-fledged education and upbringing, in the conditions of inclusive education in 2019.In secondary schools of Kurchatov, students are provided with 100% hot and buffet meals. In total, 720 pupils are covered with free hot meals, including 574 pupils in 1-3 grades, and 146 pupils in the preferential category (orphans and left without parental care, large children and low-income).
All secondary schools are provided with language and multimedia classrooms, chemistry, biology and physics classrooms, including a new version of robotics (100%). All schools are connected to the Internet. Availability of textbooks is 100 %. The total amount of funding for the purchase of textbooks and teaching AIDS for updating the library collections of educational organizations is 35.5 million KZT for students of grades 4, 9, 10, including at the expense of the local budget 21.9 million KZT and the regional budget 13.6 million KZT. 3.0 million KZT was allocated from the regional budget to purchase school uniforms for 164 children from large and low-income family.
602 students were covered with summer recreation (school health grounds with meals, recreation on the basis of “Bereg”, health camps in Katon-Karagay, Urjar and Beskaragay districts) at the expense of the local budget.
School bus costs 13.0 million KZT and a gazelle cost 12.0 million KZT were purchased in 2019 for children at the expense of the city budget, to move from and bring to the city.
