The volume of industrial production for 2019 amounted to 3.184.0 million KZT or 503.9 million KZT more than the same period last year, the growth rate - 118.8%. The index of physical volume is amounted to 118.5%.
The main increase in production volume is accounted for by the mining industry of the city, which is represented by the tantalum processing plant of JSC “Ulba Metallurgical plant”.
The index of physical volume of this industry increased by 34.3% over the specified time.
The manufacturing industry produced goods in the amount of 512.3 million KZT or 62.0 million KZT less than the same period last year (January-December 2018 - 574.3 million KZT), the growth rate – 89.2%, IFI – 112.1%. The increase in the production volume of the manufacturing industry was provided by an increase in the production of disposable medical clothing and accessories (alcohol napkins, plastic shoe covers, etc., the manufacturer is LLP “Merusar & K”).
The volume of investments in fixed assets for the 12 months of 2019 amounted to 2.865.2 million KZT, with a decrease of 2.608.5 million KZT compared to the same period last year, the growth rate – 52.3%, IFI – 51.4%.
At the same time, according to the results of 2019, the city of Kurchatov has set a task – Plan for attracting investments in fixed assets in the amount of 2.583.3 million KZT, which is fulfilled completely by the end of this year.
As part of attracting additional investment in fixed assets, we are considering the possibility of expanding the existing production of coal, initiated by JSC “Karazhyra”. At this time, the issues of choosing a site for the construction of a factory and determining the site for the dump are being discussed.
The volume of construction works for 2019 amounted to 1.436.7 million KZT or 2.835.3 million KZT less than the same period last year (12 months of 2018 – 4.272.0 million KZT). The volume index was 32.8 %.
The decrease in this indicator is due to the completion in 2018 of works on the reconstruction of sewerage systems with a main collector and water supply networks in Kurchatov city.
The volume of retail trade turnover for the 12 months of 2019 amounted to 6 956. 2 million KZT or 835.8 million KZT more than the same period last year, IFO – 106.4 %. Including: enterprises 1 655.2 million KZT, individual entrepreneurs 5 301.0 million KZT.
