
In 2019, the second five-year plan of the industrialization program ended, which gave a new impetus to the country's industrial development. According to the results of the year, indicators in the industry grew by 3.8%, including the manufacturing sector by 4.4%, mining by 3.7%. Within the framework of the second five-year plan (2015-2019), the volume of manufactured products by manufacturing enterprises amounted to 45 trillion tenge, including 11.2 trillion tenge last year. Over the years, tax revenues from enterprises in the sector increased 3 times and amounted to 9 trillion tenge. Currently, the tax on the manufacturing industry is 6.5 times higher than the cost of implementing the industrialization policy.
Labor productivity in the industry grew by 4.2%. Kazakhstani manufacturers exported products worth $ 72 billion, which is consumed in 120 countries.
For the second year in a row, machine-building has shown a steady growth (IFO in 2018 -114.4%, in 2019 -120.9%). The main driver of the industry was the automotive industry (162.5%). The light car loan program had a positive impact on growth.
The growth in production in light industry (IFO - 113.5%) was achieved due to an increase in textile production (IFO - 116.1%) and clothing production (IFO - 108.2%). Steady growth is observed in the pharmaceutical (112.2%) and metallurgical industries (104.1%). In the framework of the Industrialization Map for 2015-2019, 556 projects worth over 5 trillion were introduced. tenge, created about 84 thousand permanent jobs.
Today in Kazakhstan there are 13 special economic zones (SEZ) and 23 industrial zones (IZ). Last year, 185 projects were launched in the SEZ, in 149 projects in IZ, more than 22 thousand jobs were created. 136 types of products are produced in the territories, more than 30 of them are new types of products.
