Become a specialist and join the ranks of the military reserve.
Studying at the Military Technical School of the Ministry of Defense provides an opportunity for citizens of Kazakhstan to master a military accounting specialty and obtain a military ID, and, if necessary, enroll in military service under a contract.
Conscripts who, for various reasons, have not completed military service, from 24 to 27 years old, as well as those liable for military service, fit for military service or with minor health restrictions, are accepted for training.
The number of trained military-technical specialists is determined annually by the Ministry of Defense. To be placed in the training queue, you must submit an application through the portal eGov.kz. The section "Military registration and security" contains the state service "Registration of conscripts and reservists for assignment to training in military-technical and other specialties"
The cost of training in the specialty in 2026 is 545 thousand tenge.
In military technical schools, citizens receive specialties in combat, logistics and combat support. The knowledge and skills acquired during the training are also in demand in the civilian sector of the economy. Specialists from logistics centers, repair of automotive and armored vehicles, car electricians, battery workers, gas and electric welders, cooks, bakers and others are trained here. To meet the needs of the Armed Forces, a pilot training program for operators of unmanned aircraft systems is being implemented. Depending on the chosen specialty, the average duration of training is 40-46 days.
During this period, students are provided with military uniforms, a place to stay, and three meals a day. They retain their place of work and their current position. At the same time, the law prohibits the dismissal of such employees at the initiative of the employer and expulsion from educational institutions. They are also provided with study leave.
Upon completion of their studies, graduates take the Military Oath and receive a certificate, on the basis of which they are awarded the military rank of "private" and issued a military ID card. Citizens who have completed training at the military technical school are enrolled in the military reserve and are not subject to conscription.
It should be recalled that educational organizations of a military-technical profile operate in the cities of Aktobe, Almaty, Atyrau, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, Semey, Taldykorgan, Taraz, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Uralsk and Shymkent.
