Born on March 11, 1976 in Almaty.
Graduated from the al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Faculty of International Relations).
Started his career in 1998 as an attaché of the State Protocol Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 1999 to 2003, in his first diplomatic posting abroad, served as attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Malaysia.
Between 2003 to 2007, again served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as Second Secretary of the Department of Asia and Africa, Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Head of the Secretariat of the Minister.
From 2007 to 2011, in the Office of the Senate, as Deputy Head and later Head of the Office.
In 2011, Ambassador-at-large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director of the Asia and Africa Department.
Between 2011 and 2014, served as Minister Counselor at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva (Swiss Confederation).
From 2014 to 2016, he worked as Deputy Head of the Center for Foreign Policy of the Presidential Administration.
In 2016-2019, served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Finland, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Estonia concurrently.
Between 2019 to April 2023, worked in various leadership positions in the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as Aide to the President, Deputy Head of the Administration.
In 2022, worked as First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2022 to 2023, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On April 3, 2023, by the Decree of the President, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Married, with four children. In addition to his native Kazakh language, speaks English, Russian, and German.
