Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Poland were established on April 6, 1992.The Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Poland opened in October 2000. HE Mr Alim Kirabayev has been Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Poland since March 2020.
The Embassy fulfills the following main functions:
- provision of National interests and implementation of Kazakhstan's foreign policy course in Poland;
- protection of the rights and interests of citizens and legal entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Poland;
- development of co-operation of the Republic of Kazakhstan with Republic of Poland, assistance for state bodies and public organizations, as well as representatives of business communities in establishing contacts and developing relations with Poland;
- participation at the preparation of the international agreements of Kazakhstan with Poland and proposals on signing, fulfilling and terminating the agreements, as well as establishing control over the fulfillment of the agreements between the two countries;
- consular issues;
There are four Honorary Consulates of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Poland in the cities of Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Katowice.
