By the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 28, 2007, the Consulate of Kazakhstan has been functioning in Jeddah, which transformed into the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Jeddah by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 5, 2019.
The consular district includes the province of Mecca (Mecca, Jeddah, Taif, At Tuwal cities, etc.) and the province of Medina (Medina, Yanbu cities, etc.).
The main activities of the Consulate General are to ensure the protection of the rights and interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its citizens and legal entities, as well as to assist in the development of trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within its consular district.
The Consulate General is also responsible for developing relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, its various institutions, including the Islamic Development Bank, located in Jeddah.
