Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Qatar
July 1st 1993, Joint Communiqué on Establishing Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State of Qatar was signed.
Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the State of Qatar opened in May 2007. HE Arman Issagaliyev is the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Qatar from September 2020.
Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Kazakhstan has been functioning since October 2008. Since October 2019 HE Abdelaziz bin Sultan Al-Rumaihi has assumed his mission as the new Ambassador of Qatar to Kazakhstan.
The Embassy fulfils the following core functions:
- provision of national interests and implementation of Kazakhstan's foreign policy in Qatar;
- protecting the rights and interests of citizens and legal entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the State of Qatar;
- developing co-operation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State of Qatar, assisting governmental bodies, public organisations and businesses in establishing contacts and developing relations with Qatar;
- participation in preparing international agreements between Kazakhstan and Qatar, proposals on signing, fulfilling and terminating agreements, as well as establishing control over the fulfilment of agreements between the two states;
- consular issues;
- other issues.
