Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Türkiye were established on 2 March 1992.

The Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Antalya was opened on October 7, 2012 and it was reorganized by transformation into the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Antalya in September 2022 (Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 28, 2022 No.1025).

Mr. Kuat Kanafeev was appointed as a Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Antalya on November 5, 2022.

Main tasks of the Consulate General:

- protect the rights and interests of citizens and legal entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Türkiye;

- promoting the development of relations between Kazakhstan and Türkiye in trade, economic, scientific and technical, cultural, sports, tourism and other fields;

- implementation of consular actions on issues of citizenship, international adoption, apostille, requesting documents, issuing visas, registration of acts of civil status, documentation, consular registration of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, provision of notary services.

The consular district of the Consulate General includes 7 southern regions of the Republic of Türkiye: Antalya, Burdur, Denizli, Isparta, Karaman, Mersin, Mugla.
