A resident of Karaganda became the winner of the Trampoline Gymnastics World Cup

Yerlan Tasmagambetov from Karaganda won a bronze medal at the Trampoline Gymnastics World Cup. The competition was held in Bulgaria, in the city of Varna.

In total, the national team consisted of three Karaganda residents the duo Danil Musabaev and Nikita Tumakov, as well as Yerlan Tasmagambetov, who performed in a pair with an athlete from Pavlodar Victoria Butolina.

According to the results of the competition, the duet of Tasmagambetov and Butolina was awarded the third place.

– Musabayev and Tumakov were a little unlucky this time, they returned without medals. But just recently, at the World Cup in Germany, they won gold. Of course, these achievements are very inspiring for young athletes and help them reach new heights. We have set the bar for a long time: we have repeatedly become prize-winners and champions of large and prestigious competitions. Kazakhstan is competitive in trampoline gymnastics, we are known and recognized in the world, and Yerlan Tasmagambetov's medal at this Cup is another confirmation of this," says Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sergey Vertyankin.

Karaganda athletes will have an active end to the year. Now our trampolinists represent Kazakhstan at the CIS Games, which are held from September 29 to October 4. Then Yerlan Tasmagambetov, Danil Musabayev and Nikita Tumakov will travel to Spain, where the World Cup will be held.

– Of course, we are going for medals and we believe in victory. Our athletes have every chance: successful combinations, good preparation, and physical fitness. So let's cheer for them! says the coach.

The Karaganda region is one of the domestic leaders in online commerce

The Karaganda region holds the position of one of the leaders of e-commerce in Kazakhstan. Thanks to the development of the domestic Teez marketplace and the active involvement of local businesses, the region is demonstrating high rates of retail digitalization. Today, almost every fifth online order in the country is in Karaganda.

Teez is a rapidly growing Kazakhstani online trading platform with a minimum delivery time of just one day. It started working in September 2024. Already in January 2025, the number of orders from Karaganda residents through the marketplace exceeded 2.3 million units, which accounted for 17.8% of the total volume in Kazakhstan.

After a year of operation, in September 2025, Teez is already successfully processing 10,000 orders daily, delivering purchases in 30 cities of Kazakhstan.

For businessmen from Karaganda and other regions, Teez is a great opportunity to sell and promote their products. Currently, 37 thousand domestic entrepreneurs are represented on the online platform.

We want every Kazakhstani brand to have the opportunity to compete on equal terms with international players. To do this, we are creating an ecosystem: low commission, free storage, promotion support and fast delivery," said Linar Khusnullin, CEO of Teez.

The presence of the marketplace in the Karaganda market also means the availability of additional jobs. Today, more than 350 residents of the regional center work in Teez. The company plans to increase its staff to eight thousand people throughout Kazakhstan.

The development of e-commerce has a positive impact on related industries such as logistics, courier services and catering.

During a working trip to Karaganda in November last year, the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev stressed that, taking into account the geographical location and infrastructure, the Karaganda region can become not only Kazakhstan's main trade and logistics center, but also a Central Asian hub.

Emotions overwhelmed the athlete herself. She did not hide her joy and gratitude for such support.

Before going to Liverpool, I set myself a personal goal to become a two-time world champion. I've reached it. Of course, I felt great support from Kazakhstanis. Thank you to the people of Kazakhstan, thank you to the residents of Karaganda, the heads of the department and the federation! Thanks to such support, we are conquering heights in sports," said Aida Abikeeva.

According to the champion, she dedicated her victory to her grandfather. It was he, a former wrestler, who brought Aida to boxing at the age of 11. I went with her to important competitions.

How Karaganda region enhances transit potential

In his Message "Kazakhstan in the era of artificial Intelligence: current challenges and solutions through digital transformation," President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev set the task of strengthening the country's transit potential and turning it into a leading aviation hub in Eurasia. How this instruction is implemented in the Karaganda region was told at a meeting in the akimat of the region.

A trade and logistics warehouse for e-commerce Teez has started operating in the region. Its capacity allows processing up to 27 million orders per year, which gives an impetus to the development of small and medium-sized businesses. At the same time, Sary-Arka Airport is being upgraded, where the multimodal airhub CargoHUB Karaganda is being formed. 354 hectares of land have been allocated for this purpose, an access railway is being designed and a gas station complex with a volume of 6 thousand cubic meters is being built.

According to the first deputy akim of the region, Azamat Tayzhanov, transport projects in the region are becoming systemic.

– On behalf of the President, the creation of a multimodal air hub CargoHUB Karaganda and a subzone of the SEZ at Sary-Arka airport is being worked out, which in the future will become a key center for international cargo transportation not only in Central Kazakhstan, but also beyond its borders. Construction of a new refueling complex has begun. The construction of the second tracks of the DostykMoyinty railway section and the modernization of Balkhash Airport are being completed. All this will strengthen the transit potential of the region," said the deputy akim of the region.

By 2030, the volume of cargo through Karaganda airport is planned to increase from 15,000 to 200,000 tons per year. This will provide about 2,000 new jobs and additional revenue to the budget.

– There is a large–scale renovation of the road network: from highways of national importance to urban and rural roads, which increases transport accessibility and creates conditions for the population and business, - said Ermaganbet Bulekpaev.

30 agricultural projects are being implemented in the Karaganda region

An agrotechnological hub center will be created in the Karaganda region, where advanced scientific developments, educational programs and business platforms will be concentrated. It should become a driver of innovative agricultural growth, increase productivity and product quality, as well as a platform for exporting knowledge and technology.

A project is being implemented in the Osakarovsky district to build a modern elevator for 28,000 tons of grain, which will reduce the costs of nearby agricultural enterprises for transportation and storage of manufactured products.

The Message of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev "Kazakhstan in the era of artificial intelligence: current challenges and their solutions through digital transformation" was discussed at the meeting in Karaganda. They talked about the implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State in the Karaganda region.

Among the priorities are the modernization of agricultural science, the creation of agrotechnological hubs, the development of exportoriented production, ensuring food security, digitalization of the industry and support for agricultural cooperation.

Our region is a territory with a developed agro-industrial sector. Today, agricultural producers have significantly increased both the acreage and the number of cattle. We produce 14 of the 19 socially significant food products, and we have achieved full self–sufficiency in 6 types of products," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, Akim of the Karaganda region.

Agricultural cooperation is developing in the region, infrastructure is being modernized, and acreage is expanding. The region is implementing 30 agricultural projects worth over 23 billion tenge. Special attention is paid to the need for deep processing of agricultural products, the introduction of climate-resistant technologies, the development of agricultural science, personnel training and the creation of mechanisms for the direct integration of science, education and production.

This year, we launched a dairy farm for 1,100 heads with a capacity of 9,000 tons of milk per year and a milk processing plant with a capacity of 200 tons of dairy products per year. A dairy farm for 6 thousand cattle with a capacity of 55 thousand tons of milk per year is being built. The implementation of these projects will create new jobs and increase the level of food supply in the region. The processing industry is actively developing in the region: 207 enterprises are operating, including meat, milk, flour and bakery industries. All these factors attract not only domestic, but also foreign investors," said Ruslan Kenzhebekov, Deputy Akim of the region.

Much attention is being paid to technical re-equipment: the agricultural machinery fleet is being updated, leasing financing is developing, and the costs of fuel, seeds, fertilizers, and breeding cattle are being subsidized. Elements of precision farming, digital technologies and modern approaches to training farmers are being introduced.

To ensure epizootic well-being in the region, a set of measures is being implemented, covering prevention, diagnosis and infrastructural development. Modular veterinary clinics are being built.

"Thanks to an integrated approach, the Karaganda region must fulfill the strategic objectives set by the Head of State for the development of agriculture, improving food, veterinary, environmental safety and strengthening the country's economy," Ruslan Kenzhebekov emphasized.

120 investment projects: Karaganda region is building up its industrial potential

120 investment projects will be implemented in the Karaganda region in the coming years, 29 of them this year. The region relies on the mining industry and processing: a hot-dip galvanizing plant is operating, the production of televisions and washing machines has been launched. These and other issues were discussed at a meeting in the Akimat, where they discussed the implementation of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's Message "Kazakhstan in the era of artificial intelligence: current challenges and their solutions through digital transformation."

Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev noted that the region should become a platform for the introduction of advanced ideas.

– The Karaganda region, known as the industrial heart of the country, should be among the leaders in fulfilling these tasks. We have a powerful industrial base, qualified personnel and significant agricultural potential. The region should become a laboratory of the future of Kazakhstan, where traditional production and new technologies, heavy industry and digital solutions will combine," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.

According to the deputy akim of the region Ermek Alpysov, investments are now actively attracted in the region. New projects will create over 20,000 jobs.

– Mechanical engineering, production of rubber and plastic products, as well as new areas of processing are becoming the drivers. The Saryarka SEZ and the Saran industrial zone are successfully operating," says the deputy akim of the region. There is an Investor Service Center operating on a one-stop-shop basis.

Geological exploration is developing in the region, which will expand the mineral resource base and launch enterprises for processing rare earth metals.

The Karaganda region is demonstrating success in diversifying the economy. Last year, the volume of products produced at the enterprises of the region exceeded 3 trillion tenge.

The President stressed the importance of sustainable development. The Karaganda region plans to invest 1.6 trillion tenge in the modernization of production and the introduction of new technologies at Qarmet enterprises.

Summing up the meeting, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev recalled that the main challenge outlined in the Message is preparation for the future, where technocentrism plays a key role.

– These initiatives are just the beginning of the work. We all need to join forces for the high-quality and timely implementation of the President's Message. Success is directly related to the well-being of people and the sustainable development of the country. Therefore, we need to act together, as one team," the governor of the region emphasized.
