There are 190 registered religious associations (hereinafter RA): the Islamic religion — 89, Orthodox — 45, Catholic — 11 Protestant — 43, 1 — religion "Bahai", 1 — the international society for Krishna Consciousness Akmola region.
In addition, there are 10 communities of Evangelical Christians-Baptists, who refuse the state registration (in the cities of Kokshetau, Stepnogorsk, Makinsk Bulandy district, the town of Esil, Esil district, Schuchinsk and Burabay Village, the villages of Zaporozhye Zhaksy district, Sergeevka Astrakhan region, Astrakhan, Astrakhan district, Balkashino of Shortandy district).
There are 150 places of worship, including 89 mosques, 28 Orthodox churches, 11 Catholic churches, and 22 Protestant houses of prayer.
There are 75 missionaries on the territory of Akmola region. Among them: 21 people are citizens of Poland, 6-the Philippines, 5-Russia, 43-citizens of Kazakhstan.
29 missionaries preach Catholicism, 32 missionaries — Orthodoxy, 2 missionaries — Islam, 12 missionaries-Protestantism.
Since the beginning of the year, 6 certificates of registration (re-registration) of missionaries have been issued.
There are no facts of violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan by foreign citizens, and there are no cases of shortening the period of stay or expulsion of missionaries from the region.
In order to explain the basics of state-confessional relations, prevent religious extremism, and improve the legal and religious literacy of the population, 23 religious awareness groups (hereinafter referred to as RAG) consisting of 215 people continue to conduct comprehensive information and explanatory work in the region.
Since the beginning of the year, the RAG of the region has held 818 events, which were attended by 20380 people.
The media of the Akmola region published 1149 materials covering topics in the field of religious relations. Of these, 208 publications were published in print media; 37 TV series (stories, videos and TV programs) were shown by regional television and district TV studios; 904 information materials were published in Internet resources.
The result of systematic information and explanatory work is inter-confessional consent, the absence of conflicts and contradictions on religious grounds. The religious situation in the region remains stable.
