Akimat of Alatau district

The district was established by the joint decision № 3/390 dated July 4, 2008 of the akimat of Almaty city and decision №109 dated July 2, 2008 of the XI session of maslikhat of the IV convocation of Almaty city, and is located in the northwest part  of Almaty city.

There are 23 microdistricts, with a total area of 104.9 square kilometres (15% of the territory of the city), with a population of 326,676 people (14% of the population of the city), 72.3% of which are of indigenous nationality.

Communal State Institution "Office of Akim of Alatau district of Almaty" is a state body that provides information and analytical, organizational and legal and logistical support of the activities of Akim of Alatau district of Almaty.
