After the birth of a child, a woman, regardless of whether she worked before or not, should receive a lump sum payment from the state, which depends on the number of children she has had already.

For working women for whom social contributions were paid to the State Social Insurance Fund, a one–time social payment is paid in case of loss of income due to pregnancy and childbirth, adoption of a newborn child (children) (hereinafter referred to as the maternity payment). The right to maternity benefits arises from the date of maternity leave indicated in the temporary disability certificate for pregnancy and childbirth (sick leave). The amount of the payment depends on the average monthly income of a woman in the last 12 months preceding the month of maternity leave and on the number of days of maternity leave provided by the employer.
The average monthly income is calculated by dividing the income from which social contributions have been paid to the State Social Insurance Fund over the past 12 calendar months by 12. At the same time, it does not matter whether there were interruptions in the payment of social contributions during this period.
10% of mandatory pension contributions are deducted from the assigned amount of maternity benefits and transferred to the recipient's individual account in the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund.
The period for applying for maternity leave should not exceed 12 months from the date of granting maternity leave indicated in the temporary disability certificate for pregnancy and childbirth.

Application. We suggest starting with this payment, it is assigned before the birth of the child.
According to the Social Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, after the birth of a child, participants in the compulsory social insurance system receive a monthly social child care payment upon reaching the age of one and a half years (hereinafter referred to as the child care payment) from the State Social Insurance Fund in the amount of 40% of the average monthly income for the last 2 years preceding the date of birth of the child.
The average monthly income is calculated by dividing the income from which social contributions have been paid to the SFS over the past 24 calendar months by 24. It does not matter whether there were interruptions in the payment of social contributions during this period.
10% of the child care payments are deducted from the assigned amount and transferred to the recipient's individual account in the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund.
The right to payment from the State Pension Fund arises from the date of birth indicated on the child's birth certificate.
The time limit for applying for child care payments may not exceed 18 months from the date of the child's birth.

Unemployed persons (families) with children, depending on the order of the child, receive a monthly state allowance for child care from the budget (for the first child – 5.76 MCI, for the second - 6.81 MCI, for the third - 7.85 MCI, for the fourth and more - 8.90 MCI).
