Введение

Parents on maternity leave have the right to receive social allowance.

If for non-working women certain state benefits are provided, then for employed mothers the calculation of payments is carried out in a different way.

In this material we will tell you how to calculate maternity leave coverage.

What is the amount of a lump sum after the birth of a child

After the birth of a child, a woman, regardless of whether she worked before or not, should receive a lump sum payment from the state, which depends on the number of children she has had already.

For all women who have given birth, the income is fixed:

  • 38 MCI for every 1st, 2nd, 3rd children;
  • 63 MCI for every 4th and more children.

How is the monthly childcare social allowance calculated

According to the Social Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan the size of the monthly state benefit for caring for a child upon the time (s) he attains the age of 1,5 year old for non-working women is set in the following amounts:

How to calculate maternity and social benefits in connection with child care up to 1,5 year for working women.

From the moment of the 30th week of pregnancy (or the 28th week of multiple pregnancies), a woman can safely go on maternity leave in Kazakhstan.

First of all, she is entitled to social assistance.

When entering the decree, working Kazakhstani women receive a disability certificate for 4 months or more, according to which they are charged a one-time social payment for pregnancy and childbirth.

During the 1,5year after the birth of the child, mothers who are on official parental leave must receive social payments for child care up to 1.5 year on a monthly basis.

Those women who officially worked before giving birth also receive a social payment, but it may differ depending on the salary.

At the same time, the minimum monthly social payment of a working Kazakhstani woman cannot be less than the monthly state allowance, which depends on which account the child was born in the family.

The average monthly salary for 2 years is taken as the basis of the social payment for child care.

It is calculated as follows: all official incomes for the last 24 months are summed up and divided by 24.

That is, if a woman has been officially working for the last two years, for example, only 6 months. Then the amount of wages is still divided by 24.

Now this average monthly salary needs to be multiplied by a factor of 0.4, that is, you need to find 40% of the average. Next, you need to deduct 10% of the resulting amount on account of mandatory pension contributions (MPC).

The maximum salary on the basis of which a social payment can be accrued should be no more than 7 minimum wage.

Recall that the size of the minimum wage at the moment is 85 000 tenge.

This means the maximum average monthly salary for the last 2 years for the calculation of social security.the payout is equal to 595 000 tenge.

And the maximum payout is 238 000 tenge. That is, all women who earn more than 595 000 tenge receive a social payment in the amount of no more than 214 200 (238 000 tenge – 10% OPV) tenge on hand.
