Registration of loss of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan

• application (in free form);
• passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In case of absence or loss of the passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a written explanation or another document confirming this fact must be submitted;
• identity card of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In case of absence or loss of the identity card of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an explanation or another document confirming this fact must be submitted, except where a permit for permanent departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan is available;
• copy of the passport of a foreign state or a document confirming possession of foreign citizenship.

Additional documents are required in the following cases:

In case of changes to personal data (full name):

• document confirming such change.

When documents are submitted by a parent (a citizen or former citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan) on behalf of a minor child:

• copy of the child’s birth certificate;
• copies of identity documents of the parents;

NOTE:

• documents sent by mail are not subject to review;
• documents drafted in a foreign language must be submitted together with a translation into the state or Russian language. Translation of the foreign passport is not required.

• Service — free of charge;
• Issuance of certificate — USD 50.
  

  Payment of the consular fee is made at the Consular Section in cashless form through a bank terminal. PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, as well as VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, DISC, JCB, and UnionPay cards are accepted.
