For the attention of travellers planning to visit Kazakhstan!

 

Please keep in mind the following sanitary and epidemiological measures enforced by respective government agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Please also note that the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan is taking international travel restriction measures for passengers who are travelling from Category 1a), 1b), 2 and 3 countries.

1 a)	Temporary Entry Restriction to Kazakhstan for foreign citizens if you visited China, Iran, South Korea, or Italy less than 30 days prior to your arrival to Kazakhstan.	Exceptions: Holders of service and diplomatic passports, airline pilots and crew members, locomotive crew, professionals engaged in railway transportation and drivers engaged in international road transportation who visited Category 1a) countries prior to arriving to Kazakhstan will be placed in a designated medical facility for a 14-day isolated quarantine.
1 b)	Temporary Entry Restriction to Kazakhstan for foreign citizens If you visited any Category 1 b) country less than 30 days prior to your arrival to Kazakhstan.	Exceptions: Official and government delegations, as well as holders of service and diplomatic passports, airline pilots and crew members, locomotive crew, professionals engaged in railway transportation and drivers engaged in international road transportation who visited Category 1b) countries prior to arriving to Kazakhstan are subject to remote health monitoring (in the same mode which applies to visitors from Category 2 countries).
2.	If less than 14 days have passed since your last visit to a Category 2 country, on arrival to Kazakhstan you will be subject to remote health monitoring (check-ups over the phone)	You have the right to move and travel in a normal, unrestricted manner on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan (provided that you inform your medical supervisors about your travel to guarantee continuous remote health monitoring).   Medical officers will conduct daily check-ups with you over the phone for the duration of 14 days since the date of your arrival.

Upon arrival in Kazakhstan, border control agents may ask you to fill out a brief questionnaire (see sample below) at the passport control point.

If you need a visa to visit Kazakhstan, please keep in mind the following:

• Kazakhstan’s diplomatic and consular posts in China suspended the issuance of Kazakhstan visas for all foreign citizens including to the citizens of China, for an indefinite period. The only exception is visas for official delegations;

 

• citizens of Category 1a) and 1b) countries can apply for a visa only if they live in a different country and did not visit Category 1a) and 1b) countries within the last 30 days; 

 

• the issuance of visas to citizens who visited Category 1a) and 1b) countries in the last 30 days is suspended for an indefinite period.
