Poland is one of the major foreign trade partners of Kazakhstan in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation (IGC) is the main mechanism of economic cooperation between the two countries. The IGC is co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan A.Isetov and Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology of Poland M.Baranovsky. So far, 10 IGC meetings have been held (April 20, 2006 - Warsaw, October 2, 2009 - Astana, June 20-22, 2011 - Warsaw, September 17, 2012 - Astana, October 28, 2013 - Warsaw, November 21, 2014 - Astana, April 14, 2016 - Warsaw, June 20 2018 - Astana, June 14-16, 2023 Warsaw, the 10th anniversary meeting of the IGC was held on April 10, 2026 in Astana).
According to the State revenue committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Poland in 2025 amounted to 1.22 billion USD, an increase of 6.2% (1.04 billion USD) compared to 2024. At the same time, exports from Kazakhstan to Poland increased by 12.7%, amounting to 550.2 million USD (2024 - 487.8 million USD). Imports from Poland to Kazakhstan increased by 4.1%, amounting to 667 million USD (in 2024 640.3 million USD).
The main exports from Kazakhstan to Poland are: coal, flax seeds, aluminum, hydrogen, inert gases, propylene polymers and rapeseed.
The main imports to Kazakhstan from Poland are: medicines, apples, pears, quinces, glue and adhesives, computers, paper and cardboard containers, putties, bread and flour confectionery.
At the same time, the volume of investments tends to grow steadily. Gross FDI inflows from Poland in 2025 amounted to 137.8 million USD, which is 55.3% higher than in 2024 (88.7 million USD).
