Focus on Investment dialogue with Thai provinces
On December 15, Ambassador Raushan Yesbulatova met Mr. Channa IamSaeng, Governor of the Rayong Province of the Kingdom of Thailand in order to promote national investment interests.
On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Head of the Thai region was informed about the achievements of the state over the Independence years, about political transformations in the country, its socio-economic development, past and upcoming important events, such as elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Ambassador hand over to the Chief of the region a brochure with the full text of the President Tokayev’s Address to the Nation "Kazakhstan in a new reality: time for action".
During conversation, the Governor was provided with detailed information about the Central Asian state, its leading indicators, priorities and tasks of the Government on reforms in the development of various socio-economic sectors of the republic.
Discussing the business agenda, Ambassador Yesbulatova noted the potential for cooperation in the most advanced areas of investment innovations and production areas, including medical products and pharmaceuticals production, the participation of the Thai side in Kazakhstani projects of small industry, production of household utensils, as well as in technologies for growing organic agricultural crops, taking into the view wide experience of the Thai region in these industries.
Thus, participants of the meeting were provided with information on preferences in foreign investments, special adopted rules, programs and strategies.
In order to cover cultural and humanitarian development with Thai region, Ambassador met Prof. Dr. Watcharin Gasaluck, President of the "Burapha" State University and its faculty. Conversation was focused on the possibility of establishing cooperation between Thai and Kazakh Universities through possible educational programs in the field of tourism.
During the presentation "Achievements of Kazakhstan after Independence", dedicated to the forthcoming Anniversary of the main holiday of Kazakhstan, the audience of the University got to know the historical and modern Kazakhstan, which celebrated the 175th Anniversary of the Kazakh poet Abai in the outgoing year, the 1150th Anniversary of famous philosopher al-Farabi, 750th Anniversary of the Golden Horde and 25th Anniversary of the Constitution.
