The visa process takes about 5 business days from the moment the Consular Section receives the documents. Tourist visa applications must be submitted in-person. Applications are not accepted by mail
Recipients:
1) persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan for a funeral or in cases of illness of relatives/friends - in the presence of supporting documents;
2) former compatriots;
3) spouses, children or parents (with supporting documents, including legalisation and translation in the case of foreign documents) entering the Republic of Kazakhstan together with citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4) spouses, children (who are not ethnic Kazakhs) entering the Republic of Kazakhstan together with ethnic Kazakhs.

To apply for a visa to the Consular sector, a citizen PERSONALLY (during office hours) submits the following DOCUMENTS:
1) Visa application form.
2) The photo with a size of 3.5x4.5 centimeters.
3) A valid foreign passport of a foreign state, or another document granting the right to cross the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan (must have at least 2 blank pages intended for visas; its validity period must expire no earlier than 3 months from the expiration date of the requested visa)
4) A copy of a valid foreign passport
5) Additional documents (original of one of the following documents):
a) the original invitation (request of the inviting party, agreed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan);
b) application (written request (application) of the visa recipient intending to visit the Republic of Kazakhstan)
Consular fee in the amount:
- single entry visa – 80 USD,
- multiple entries – 200 USD.
Consular fees paid are non-refundable.
THE VISA IS ISSUED WITHIN 5 WORKING DAYS from the date of receipt of the required documents.
THERE IS NO ACCELERATED VISA ISSUANCE REGIME.
Recipients:
1) persons going to the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purpose of admission to educational organisations implementing educational study programmes of secondary, technical and professional, post-secondary, higher and postgraduate education;
2) persons, studying in educational organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, implementing educational training programs of secondary, technical and professional, post-secondary, higher and postgraduate education, including under organized programs of exchange of students and passing of preparatory courses, as well as members of their families
3) ethnic Kazakhs temporarily arriving in the Republic of Kazakhstan and enrolled in educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, arriving under a visa-free regime, as well as their family members.

To apply for a visa the applicant must apply in person (during office hours) to the Consular sector of the Embassy using the following documents:
1) Visa application form.
2) Photo 3,5х4,5 cm.
3) Valid foreign passport of a foreign country, or other document that gives the right to cross the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan (must have at least 2 blank pages intended for the visa, the validity must expire not earlier than 3 months from the date of expiry of the visa;
4) Copy of valid foreign passport
5) Invitation (request of the inviting party, agreed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
6) Order of enrollment for study on grant or payment confirmation
7) The contract on rendering of educational services to foreign citizens at training on a paid basis
8) Letter from the University to Embassy with student`s photo and stamps.
Consular fee in the amount:
- single entry visa – 80 USD,
- multiple entries – 200 USD.
Consular fees paid are non-refundable.
Visas shall be processed within 5 business days from the date of acceptance of the required documents.
ACCELERATED VISA ISSUANCE IS NOT POSSIBLE.

1) persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan to obtain a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

To apply for a visa, the following DOCUMENTS are submitted to the Consular sector of the Embassy by a citizen PERSONALLY (during office hours):
1) Visa application form
2) The photo with a size of 3.5x4.5 centimeters.
3) A valid foreign passport of a foreign state, or another document granting the right to cross the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan (must have at least 2 blank pages intended for visas; its validity period must expire no earlier than 3 months from the expiration date of the requested visa;

6) Certificate of no criminal record (legalized document with translation)
7) Bank statement (amount not less than 500.000tenge)
8) Certificate of absence (availability) of immovable property
9) Medical insurance
10) In order to apply for a visa, minors are provided with a child's birth certificate (a legalized document with a translation)
11) Marriage certificate (in case of foreign documents, provide a legalized document with a translation)
These documents are subject to approval by the competent authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
