Bilateral Cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the French Region of Grand Est

2020 – The Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Strasbourg was established as a Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2021 – The Consul General met with Mr. J. Boehler, First Vice-President of the Regional Council of the Grand Est region (France).
2023 – The Consul General was received by Mrs. J. Chevalier, Prefect of the French Grand Est region.
2023 – The Consul General held a meeting with Mrs. A. Sander, Alsatian politician and Member of the European Parliament.
2023 – The Consul General met with Mr. F.Leroy, President of the Grand Est region of France.
2023 – During the visit of French President E. Macron to Kazakhstan, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Scientific Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology (Perinatal Center), EPG Management LLP, and the French public institution “University Hospitals of Strasbourg” to modernize and manage a hospital in Almaty. Additionally, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Astana Medical University to foster scientific collaboration and train medical personnel.
2024 – The Consul General met with Mr. F.Grosdidier, Mayor of Metz, President of the Eurometropolis of Metz, Vice-President of the Grand Est region, and Honorary Member of the French Parliament.
2024 – The Consul General met with Mr. P.Lacoste, Diplomatic Advisor to the Prefect of the Grand Est region in France.
2024 – The Consul General held discussions with the leadership and administration of the city of Colmar.
2024 – The Consul General met with Mr. A.Reichardt, Senator of the French Parliament representing the Bas-Rhin department.
2024 – A delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, led by Mr. A. Mergaliyev, Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan, and Mr. E. Zhienbayev, Legal Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan, met with Mr. P.Babo, President of the Strasbourg Court, during a working visit to Strasbourg.
2024 – The Consul General met with Mr. J.Rottner, President of the Marne Departmental Council.
2024 – During the State visit of the President of Kazakhstan, K.Tokayev to Paris, memorandums of mutual cooperation in the field of tourism were signed between the Almaty and Mangystau regions and the European Community of Alsace.
