On August 30, 2025, Kazakhstan will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the adoption of its Constitution. Approved in a nationwide referendum in 1995, this fundamental law laid a solid foundation for the country's sovereignty, ensured citizens' rights and freedoms, and affirmed the democratic principles of state governance. The Constitution has become a symbol of Kazakhstan's independence and its commitment to building a rule-of-law state. Over the past three decades, it has proven its viability by contributing to the strengthening of statehood, peace, and stability in the country.
