General information
On May 6, 1992, diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Denmark have been established.
The ambassadors of Kazakhstan and Denmark are accredited concurrently from Stockholm and Moscow.
In 2018 the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Denmark (with residence in Stockholm) K.Abdrakhmanov presented credentials to the Queen Margrethe II.
In 2019, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Kazakhstan (with residence in Moscow) T.Winkler presented credentials to the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.Tazhin.
Political cooperation
In October 2000, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev paid the first in the history of bilateral relations official visit to the Kingdom of Denmark.
In June 2009, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark P.Møller visited Astana.
In June 2010, Secretary of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, K.Saudabayev visited Denmark and participated in the Copenhagen Anniversary Conference.
In July 2010, Danish Secretary of State A.Steffensen participated in the informal OSCE meeting of Foreign Ministers in Almaty.
The Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Espersen led the Danish delegation at the OSCE summit in Astana in December 2010.
In November 2013, Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands K.Johannesen visited Astana.
In November 2013, Minister of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan N.Kapparov visited Denmark.
In November 2015, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan A.Volkov met with Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs K.Jensen on the sidelines of the 12th Asia-Europe Foreign Ministers' Meeting.
In May 2016, Commissioner of the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2017 R.Zhoshybayev visited Denmark.
On the “margins" of the meeting of the UN Human Rights Council (February 26 - March 2018, Geneva), the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Y.Ashikbayev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, A. Samuelsen.
In 2019, Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.Birtanov visited Copenhagen on September 16, 2019.
In October 2019, delegation of the judicial authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited Copenhagen.
