The series of events dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai have started in Singapore.
On February 26, 2020, the Abai Center opened its doors at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Singapore to the Kazakh diaspora, as well as to artists and academicians of Singapore.
The center is equipped with books, brochures, portraits and didactic materials, including quotes and passages from Abai’s works, as well as audio and video materials.
The official opening ceremony included participation of Mr. Altynbek Korazbaev, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, who performed musical compositions written on the verses of Abai.
The Embassy plans to organize literary events and readings, film screening, round tables and presentations. In addition, the Abai Center will also accommodate Kazakh language and national music classes.
