In 2009-2010 —both countries hosted the Cultural Days of Kazakhstan in Saudi Arabia and Saudi Cultural Days in Kazakhstan.
April 23-28, 2017 — the Head of the Office of the President of Kazakhstan, Mr. Mahmud Kasymbekov, visited Saudi Arabia and presented the book about the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Riyadh.
In May-July 2017 — the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies organized an exhibition in Nur-Sultan and Almaty entitled “Al-Faisal: Witness and Martyr,” which was dedicated to the life and activities of King Faisal.
March 2019 — the Kazakh artists and artisans took part in the International Ethnic Festival “Nomad Universe,” which was held within the “King Abdulaziz Camel Festival” framework in Riyadh. Kazakh participants became winners in the nominations “Ethnic Music” and “Custodians of the Great Heritage”.
Academic relations have been established between the universities of the two countries. The leaders and representatives of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan visited the Kingdom several times, where they were informed on the curricula and scientific and methodological work of Saudi universities and discussed ways for further cooperation in education and science.
December 10-11, 2019 — the Rector of the Al Farabi Kazakh National University, Dr. Galymkair Mutanov, visited Riyadh, where he held meetings with the Minister of Education of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, the Rector of the King Saud University Badran al-Omar, the Secretary General of the King Faisal Prize Dr. Abdulaziz Alsebail and Deputy Secretary General of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies Mr. Turki Alshuwaier.
July 1, 2020 — the Embassy, in cooperation with the Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue and the Center of Information and Arabian-Russian Studies, held a Video Conference entitled “Nursultan Nazarbayev: Epoch, Personality, Legacy.” The event was attended by the leadership of the OIC, representatives of the Majlis al-Shura of Saudi Arabia, and Kazakh, Saudi and Russian scientists, and journalists.
November 22, 2020 — as part of the promotion of the work of the great poet and thinker, the founder of Kazakh literature, Abai Qunanbaiuly, the Embassy of Kazakhstan and the Saudi Center for Research and Intercommunication Knowledge (CRIK) with the support of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University organized a symposium in Riyadh on the topic “Abai - the great poet of the Kazakh people.”
December 8, 2020 — as part of the celebration of the 1150th Anniversary of the great thinker al-Farabi, the Embassy, in cooperation with the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized an International Conference entitled “The Contribution of Abu Nasr al-Farabi to the Development of Human Civilization.” The Conference was attended by HRH Prince Turki al-Faisal Al Saud, the Chairman of the KFCRIS, HE Mr. Askar Mussinov, the OIC Assistant Secretary General for Science and Technology, Dr. Galymkair Mutanov, the Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, as well as several Kazakh, Saudi and Iraqi philosophers, and scientists.
May 30, 2023 — A delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by the President of the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, M. Eldesouki, took part in the First Ministerial Meeting of the “OIC-15” Dialogue Platform in Almaty.
September 26, 2023 — A scientific and practical conference was held in Riyadh to promote the works of the great writer and playwright M. Auezov.
September 29, 2023 — In Riyadh, within the framework of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2023, a presentation of the book “A Word About My Father” by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, was held in Arabic. The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the renowned Kazakh writer and founder of the detective genre in national literature, Kemel Tokayev.
