On December 15, 2020 by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Kazakhstan International Development Agency "KazAID" was established. The authorized body in the field of official development assistance is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Over the past 20 years, Kazakhstan has provided more than $542 million in humanitarian aid to foreign countries. Kazakhstan's main efforts in this matter are focused on Central Asian countries and Afghanistan.
