A passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan is issued through the foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the following categories of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
1) those permanently residing outside the Republic of Kazakhstan (i.e. those who have withdrawn from registration and received official permission from the migration police of the Republic of Kazakhstan);
2) those receiving full-time education in educational institutions located on the territory of foreign states;
3) those working in foreign countries under an employment contract concluded for a period of at least one year;
4) family members of the said persons living with them.
To apply for a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the applicant must appear in person and submit the following documents with copies to the Consular Section:
- application of standard form;
- questionnaire form;
- birth certificate (when a child under the age of 16 receives a passport);
* if the document is issued by the Mexican competent authority, the presence of the “apostille” stamp, as well as a certified translation of the certificate into Kazakh or Russian is required;
- passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan (when exchanging a passport);
- four color photographs, size 3,5*4,5 cm.
* the photograph must correspond to the applicant's age at the time of submission of documents to the Consular Section, taken strictly in full face on a light background without a smile, the face must be at least 75% of the photograph area;
- a document confirming the fact of permanent residence (departure form, notification of leaving for permanent residence or a copy of the passport page with a mark (stamp) about leaving for permanent residence), studying (certificate from the place of study), working abroad (work permit, employment contract, letter from work. The contract must contain detailed information about the working conditions and the signature of both parties (employer and employee), marital status, with an “Apostille” stamp and a certified translation into Kazakh or Russian;
- certificate of absence of Mexican citizenship (with the stamp “Apostille”, as well as a certified translation of the document into Kazakh or Russian languages is required);
- original receipt of payment of the consular fee (100 US dollars).
To verify the information provided, you must attach:
Certificate of marriage (divorce), original and copy;
Document confirming registration in Mexico, original and copy;
Certificate from the internal affairs entities about the loss or theft of the passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan (in case of loss or theft), original and copy:
The processing time for the issuance of passport is 80 calendar days.
